Instructor Training & Certification

Training in the morning - Hanging in the evening

Are you sick of going to martial arts trainings that leave you with great knowledge but no time to get to know your Instructor team? How about if you could bring your friends or family members and make this not just a training event but a vacation to the Bahamas? 

Krav Maga Instructor -Level 1

Learn from Sifu Mark Messare who has studied under Nir Maman from CT707 and many others in the Krav Maga family. This training is sanctioned by the Federation of Israeli Martial Arts as continued education for instructors. 

Wing Chun Instructor - Level 1

Learn the forms and Chi Sao of Wing Chun plus how it integrates with the Krav Maga system. While Krav Maga teaches direct application, wing chun studies the art of fighting from a scientific approach with several forms and principles which bring the practitioner to the next level of efficiency. Sifu Mark has been studying wing chun since 1993. 

Carnival Elation

About the Ship

The Carnival Elation is a cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line that sails to the Caribbean and Bahamas. It was built in Finland in 1998 and is one of the older ships in the Carnival fleet. Features: 

  • Capacity: 2,190 passengers
  • Length: 855 feet
  • Amenities: Water park, mini-golf course, kids' camp, main theater, live music, spa, Alchemy Bar, Bonsai Sushi Express
  • Stateroom options: Ocean view, balcony, and suite

  • Built by Kværner Masa-Yards in Helsinki, Finland
  • Christened by Shari Arison Dorsman
  • Inaugural cruise began on March 20, 1998
  • Most recently refurbished in 2023

Can I just come to hang out, and not train ?

You are more than welcome to book a cruise and hang out with us during down times. You most likely will not have access to the training space. Those who pay for the instructor certification will have full access to the training and instructor team. 

What if I want to train more ??

For those looking for Additional Training, we will be booking private sessions as well for the Instructor team. This will be an amazing time you dont want to miss! 

How to Sign up

Our Services

Training will commence every morning at 6:30am and will run roughly until 11:30am . This will be a five day training which will include heavy amounts of curriculum in both Krav Maga and Wing Chun. After lunch participants will be on their own. 


Whether you are a skilled martial arts practitioner or a beginner, you can can spend this week taking your knowledge base to the next level with our week-long certification. This class will have a fitness component however most of the training will be geared towards learning. No specifics martial arts training or fitness level required. Instructor certification will be issued to those who have three or more documented years of martial arts training, while certificates of completion will be issued to those who are lacking the expert level knowledge but attend the training. We look forward to having you on our Dojo on the seas no mattter what your background! 


If you are an existing instructor / studio owner and would like to collaborate with us we may be interested in sharing the training blocks. We are looking for both Krav Maga & Wing Chun Instructors which would enhance our training tremendously. All Partner Instructors will have opportunities to offer private training to interested participants during down time. Contact Sifu Mark for more info 585-867-6201



The Cost

I have been to many trainings in the last 15 years that cost $1500 or more just for a few days of training and that does not include expensive hotel fees, travel expenses and food. Also if I want to hang out with fellow participants after hours that is extra. This is a way you can do it all in one location! 


Cost :  $1000 for instructor certification, $500 for additional instructor. (payment plan available)

Cruise:  $500 per person based on double occupancy. You can bring a friend of family member who just wants some fun in the sun and secure the room for yourself. Booked through Carnival.
